Notes: This is based on the last scene in the amazing The Jabberwock by blithelybonny. So I saw your mention of this one in your Snowflake challenge post, and I hadn't read it before. Well, now I have and I absolutely love it. I'm usually not brave enough to make art for people's stories, so I really hope you'll like what I did for the scene. The title is also from the story.

I think it's awesome to be able to illustrate fics, it's just that I'm so impressed and intimidated by people who can write, and even if everyone says getting art is exciting I'm so afraid to disappoint D: I guess it's just one of those things I need to get over. That fic is one of my favourites of the last couple of years - an absolute masterpiece, I'm so glad you read it. It's brilliant!

This art is so, so beautiful and fits the piece perfectly. The emotion is so stark and befitting of the way that story ends. And to echo Birds, writers are typically blown away by having an artist produce something for their fic - it's a lovely compliment and very in keeping with the spirit of fandom and transformative works imho :)

This is the most beautiful thing I have ever seen, and oh my goodness, thank you so, so, so much for this. Their closed eyes and that hint of desperation on Draco's face, and Harry's seeming calm, and their lips, and the tear track -- it's literally everything I saw when I was writing.
