Day 3

In your own space, talk about your creative process - from what inspires you to what motivates you to how you manage to break through blocks. Does your process change depending on the type of creating you're doing? Leave a comment in this post saying you did it. Include a link to your post if you feel comfortable doing so.

Oh, this is a bit difficult. I don't have a very conscious relationship with my creative process. I just sometimes feel like drawing and sometimes don't. Although I often get inspired by pictures -- Tumblr is a great source for me there. When I draw for prompts I usually pick ones where I get an instant picture in my hear when I read it, then I just go for it. As for motivation, I get very motivated by being part of fandom; seeing other people create and also by getting feedback. If I get a block I find the best way to get rid of it is to use prompts from fests or comms or asking friends. But sometimes the only thing that works it to wait until the block dissappears by itself.

Notes: This is based on the last scene in the amazing The Jabberwock by [livejournal.com profile] blithelybonny. So I saw your mention of this one in your Snowflake challenge post, and I hadn't read it before. Well, now I have and I absolutely love it. I'm usually not brave enough to make art for people's stories, so I really hope you'll like what I did for the scene. The title is also from the story.
