The flowers came slowly this time, one purple bud emerging from the tip of his wand followed by a green vine, and then another bud, this one blue. These moved towards Harry; he flinched when they first curled around his wrist, but stayed very still as they moved up his sleeve. When they came to a stop the vine broke with Harry’s wand and the buds unfurled all at once, bursting open and turning towards the weak rays of sun that made their way through the ceiling.

I hope you'll accept my humble offering :) This fic was so, so fantastic, and this scene in particular spoke to me a lot, so I really wanted to make something for it when your birthday was coming up. Oh. Mah. Goodness!! That was one of my favorite scenes in that story. Gorgeous work! I love the focus and concentration on Harry's face. The conservatory is beautiful.

Ohhhhh, Ane. I wish you could see my face. This is incredible. So, so beautiful and perfect and I can feel it in my chest. Seeing this come to life is just...I'm a little speechless. Omg. Omgeeeee. Back. Back and still so, so in love with this. SO in love with this. But not more articulate because every time I look at this I’m just reduced to a bit of a mess, because it’s just perfect.

I love, love, love the colors. The whole palette captures the feeling of the scene beautifully. Harry looks so warm against the chair, and his look of concentration is amazing - he looks so focused, but still peaceful, like he’s able to focus, to relax and feel his magic.

And the way it’s framed! I sort of feel like I’m Draco looking at Harry, seeing this intimate moment and being drawn into it in this way that’s kind of irresistible, like it’s clear that there’s more to the world - the plants extend out of the frame, and the chair, and the windows, but all that matters is Harry. And that feels so much like stepping into the story I just can’t quite believe it.

It’s incredible, just incredible, to see and feel this brought to life like this. I wish I had better words to explain it, because it’s really so visceral; my chest feels all warm and tight in the good way, and I just have all this excitement and awe. Thank you so, so, so much. This is amazing!!

Yaay! I can't tell you how pleased I am that you liked it so much :):):):) I really adored that fic, so I honestly jumped at the opportunity to make something for it!

Tbh in my head the surroundings were a bit darker (probably because Malfoy Manor), but after googling manor conservatories I had to admit I was wrong because they were all really light and airy with lightly coloured furnishings. And I'm glad I discovered that, because I quite liked the way it contrasted with Harry, like you said. I really like all the things you describe about the drawing!! So glad it spoke to you like that and fit with your visions for the scene!

And omg, it's so interesting that you'd pictured it darker because it was one of the rooms in the fic I had the hardest time nailing down and googled different variations for ages, and this just fits so beautifully with what I landed on and just....I love it!!!
